It also is not possible to alter the name or the date of the reservation. If you are unable to come on the date you have reserved, we cannot reimburse you the portion that is paid to the National Park. Please understand that these are the regulations of the National Park, and that Peru Wild Treks has no control over this.

b) If you cancel 40 days or more in advance, we will reimburse you your deposit minus the permits or tickets that have already been purchased and that cannot be refunded. Please note that for some tours, hikes and additional services that you may have reserved, that there may not be any money leftover from your deposit.

c) If you cancel from 6 to 39 days in advance, we will not be able to return your deposit. You may also be charged for any additional expenses that have been incurred beyond your deposit.

d) If you cancel up to 2 days before your tour or hike, you will be required to pay 100% of the costs.

e) In the exceptional case that you decide to leave the trail in the middle of the trip, you must pay any extra expenses, such as food and transportation. You may rejoin the group in Machu Picchu for the walking tour, and use all of the services onward.

f) Peru Wild Treks is not responsible for any unforeseen events that may affect your tour or hike. This may include but is not limited to bad weather, natural disaster, fires, political unrest, strikes or riots, and transportation cancellations or delays. Please note we will do everything possible to try to continue your tour or hike as planned, however, we will always put the safety of our travelers and staff first.

Important Information about Your Passport:

1. Once you have reserved, Peru Wild Treks must submit your exact information to the National Park of Machu Picchu in order to acquire your tickets. This information includes your name, passport number, nationality, gender and age. All of this information must be the same upon arrival to the start of the Inca Trail, or for your entrance to Machu Picchu. If any of your information does not match upon arrival, you may not be able to start the trek or to enter Machu Picchu.

2. In the event that your passport number changes between reserving your Inca Trail hike or tour of Machu Picchu, you have two options. You may send us a copy of the new passport at least 3 weeks before the start of your trek or tour so that we can have the number changed on your permit or ticket. The other option is to bring your old passport as well as your new passport to the start of the trail and/or Machu Picchu entrance. If you do not have the original passport anymore, a copy is also acceptable.

3. If the information submitted with your booking does not match what you have upon arrival at the Inca Trail or Machu Picchu entrance, Cusi Travel may not be held responsible.
