Day 1

Hotel pickup in Cusco – 03:30-04:00 a.m

We will pick you up early from your accommodation in Cusco to start this incredible adventure to the Coffee and Cacao Route to Machu Picchu. Get ready for a journey full of nature, culture, and flavor.

Route to Cusco – Ollantaytambo – Abra Málaga 2 hours

After a 2-hours drive, we will reach the imposing Abra Málaga (4,316 masl), the highest point of the tour. Here we will enjoy spectacular views of the Andes and make a brief stop for photos and rest.

Arrival at the coffee farm

After 2 hours of descent, we arrive at a local farm in the high jungle, where we will take a short break, then we will enjoy a fresh breakfast with local products: fruits, breads, high-altitude coffee, and local delicacies, prepared by a coffee-growing family.

Start of the coffee tourin the Farm 

Learn in a practical way the artisanal process of coffee: Manual harvesting of the bean, pulping and fermentation, sun drying, traditional roasting and grinding. In addition, you will have the opportunity to prepare your own cup of freshly made coffee and enjoy it in the middle of the landscape.

Lunch at the farm with the local Family 

A local, nutritious and delicious lunch, made with local ingredients, will be served at the same farm to recharge your batteries.

Transfer to Santa Teresa – Hot Springs

After lunch, we head to the town of Santa Teresa, where you can enjoy a relaxing bath in the famous Cocalmayo Hot Springs (optional, entrance not included), surrounded by vegetation and nature.

Dinner and overnight in Santa Teresa 

After a day full of adventures, we will enjoy a comforting dinner and spend the night in Santa Teresa, preparing for the big day tomorrow: Machu Picchu!

Day 2

Trip from Santa Teresa to Aguas Calientes

After breakfast, we will head to Hydroelectric train station by car for 30 minutes after that you will take the train to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo) for 30 minutes, the starting point for visiting the Inca citadel. We will enjoy the scenery during the journey. After  that we will take a bus up to Machupicchu inca site.

Guiding tour in Machu Picchu

Enjoy a guided tour for approximately 2 hours, one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World. Explore its temples, terraces, squares and viewpoints while you learn about the history, architecture and mystery of this sacred site, surrounded by mountains and cloud forest.

Return to Cusco from Machupicchu 

After living this unique experience combining the culture of coffee with the majesty of Machu Picchu, you will take the train at night (18:20) back to Cusco city. Two days full of flavor, nature and ancestral legacy that you will remember forever! End of our services.
